About the Organizer
Jesse Chen spent over a decade inside the institutions most men spend their careers trying to reach. Deloitte. BNY Mellon. Two Sigma.
He left not because he failed. Because he succeeded and found out what success actually cost.
He has been initiated as a txai by the Yawanawa people of Brazil. He has sat with his own grief, his own collapse, and his own version of the question these men are carrying.
He is not a therapist. He is not a speaker. He is a man who has walked the specific path his clients need to walk, and who knows what it looks like from the other side.

What is sacred ceremony and why does it matter?
Over 100,000 years ago, our human ancestors would perform sacred initiation rituals to mark the end of childhood and the beginning of manhood. Modern society has lost touch with those traditions. Their absence has had a profound impact on the spirit and strength of modern men. The power of sacred ceremony, a medicine ritual led by indigenous elders, is to reconnect men with the truth of their sovereignty and highest powers that lay dormant deep within.
Our event will include four types of ancestral medicines - temezcal (sweat lodge), hape (Amazonian snuff), ambil (Amazonian tobacco paste), and yage (Colombian Ayahuasca made from two plants that have been boiled in water for a day with extensive prayer and ritual).
Our event is fully aligned with Beyond Fair Trade principles and a significant portion of event proceeds benefit indigenous communities and local businesses along with a generous donation to the Indigenous Medicine Conservation Fund.
What's the transformation guarantee?
We're committed to your breakthrough. If you complete the full 5-day program with full participation and don't experience meaningful shifts in clarity, purpose, or masculine power, we'll work with you in our 3-month integration period at no additional cost until you do.
I'm scared. How do I move through this fear?
Fear of the Unknown is common for anyone approaching sacred medicine for the first time. Consider it a healthy respect for the power of a serious plant medicine that is known as a "sacrament" by many indigenous cultures of the Amazon. And has been for millenia.
You will be properly guided and cared for before, during, and after your experience to maximize your growth. This includes a medical intake form to minimize the risk of contraindications with Western pharmacology. Additional information about the sacred medicine will be delivered during registration and before the retreat.
Keep in mind plant medicine has been part of humanity for at least 30,000 years according to archeological records. It is among the most well-tested, and well-received, natural medicines on the planet.
Why is the event for men only?
Men are living in a time of isolation, distraction, and adversity. The truth is that we are missing the initiation that our ancestors had that turned boys into men. Today's social ceremonies like graduations and birthdays, even weddings are not the true initiation into manhood that men crave. And, when something serious happens in life, like a death, a divorce, a layoff, and there are bills to pay and problems to solve, it becomes immediately clear that many men didn't receive an initiation earlier in life.
As the Baby Boomer generation transitions to The Great Unknown, younger men are left carrying the batons. Our ancestors and future generations are counting on us to rise as men. The type of men that can navigate the chaos of today's world, AI, political challenges, not to mention instability and uncertainty in our day-to-day life. We are tasked with carrying the light of healthy masculinity forward for our children.
Many men have never seen this light. Many indigenous communities carry this light through their elders and wisdom keepers. We are fortunate to have a legitimate elder to support us in our work in this retreat.
Our ancestors had stronger bonds between men of various tribes, cultures, and villages. It is important for men to have spaces intentionally built on deep connection, compassion, and strength. Any mature woman wants to see their man go through this work because they know it will strengthen their relationship, strengthen their family, and unveil the innate mature masculine man that lives deep within their partner.
The truth is that this retreat is for any guy who wants to become the best man, father, lover, and leader he can be.
What happens if the retreat is rescheduled or canceled?
You will be given a full refund if it is canceled or you are unable to make the rescheduled date. Our anchor participants anchor the date for the retreat based on our indigenous partner's calendars.
What do I tell my partner?
Be honest and grounded.
You don’t need to convince them—just communicate clearly.
This retreat is about stepping out of constant pressure, gaining clarity, and returning more present in your life and relationships.
For example, you might say:
“I’ve been running at a high level for a long time, and I can feel I need space to reset and reconnect.
This is something I’m doing to come back more grounded—not just for me, but for us.” To be clear, that's not a line to memorize—it's an example of the organized thought which may be constructive to the conversation.
Acknowledge any concerns around time, cost, or the unknown, and meet them with openness.
This isn’t about escaping your life.
It’s about showing up to it more fully.

This retreat is for men who are serious about leveling up their life and their leadership in love, in work, and in life. Due to the nature of this sort of retreat, we will not try to persuade or convince you to register - you must choose yourself.
